This is a pinch pot pumpkin. It is about 4 to 5 inches tall, including the stem on top of the removable top. It is hollowed out, with an open mouth that exposes the black interior. Along with the indented ridges along the body, it has blacked out eyes and a nose. I learned techniques to glaze, such as how to remove glaze from key areas such as the bottom, and where the lid contacts the body so they don't fuse together. The color on the pumpkin was intended to show contrast between the indented and raised areas, the face and the ridges, but turned out to show more of a pattern that defines the Orange, however dulls the face. All together, I think no matter how it turned out, all these aspects come together and create a uniqe and mystical pumpkin.
